A place to unwind.
Susanne founded ChirpYOGA in 2012 with the intention of bringing alternative practices to the often image obsessed and business focused world of yoga in the Western hemisphere. We cherish unique and independent approaches, whilst emphasizing in depth experiences that counter superficial mainstream attitudes.
Since 2016 ChirpYOGA is collaborating with ChirpFood, aka Christine Krauss, who has joined the chirpy ventures as retreat host, providing amazing food catering, cookery classes, as well as foraging tuition and fermentation workshops during our Yoga Heaven Retreats. Together with partner Florian they provide an exceptional culinary experience at our retreats.
Susanne’s partner Paul is a massage therapist and yoga teacher who joins the ChirpYOGA ventures at home and abroad, also bringing in-depth yoga philosophy to the discussions after studying Yoga Traditions and Meditation at SOAS in London over recent years.
ChirpYOGA continues to grow steadily, evolving and developing as experience and ideas demand. Susanne and Paul travel the world to find unique and beautiful locations for retreats, engaging in training and finding practical inspiration along the way.
New ideas (and sometimes products) emerge, never rushed to the market, but slowly researched and developed to be exemplary, desirable and pragmatic.
Our ethos is to respect the roots of yoga and bodywork, from its philosophy to asanas, as we enable and inspire more people to find the satisfaction of simply moving, centering and connecting. To this end, we have recently created a small and distinctive yoga and retreat venue in the Yorkshire Dales, at our home in Goat Gap.
